Spiers and surenne's french and english pronouncing dictionary. Newly composed from the french dictionaries of the French Academy, Laveaux, Boiste, Bescherelle, Landais etc., and from the english dictionaries of Johnson, Webster, Worcester, Richardson, etc. Containing a great number of words not both languages now in use, as well as those, now obsolete, but employed by the carlier classic writers;- 2 The principal terms connected with navigation and military tactics, the sciences, the arts, manufactures and trade, especially those contained in the Dictionary of the French Academy;.- 3 The compounds of words that most frequently occur, particulary such as are not literally translated;- 4.
